CRM Connector for MS Dynamics (Dynamics to Forsta Plus) enables you to setup and manage recurring jobs to import CRM data from MS Dynamics into Forsta Plus through an easy-to-use wizard. The imported CRM data can either be added to the survey’s respondent table, or it can be imported into a custom data table.
Once CRM data is in the respondent table, the data can feed into Forsta Plus for a variety of uses:
- Personalization of e-mail invitations.
- Capture as background variables in surveys to personalize survey flow and survey experience.
- Feed into Forsta Plus action management.
- Feed into Forsta Plus data visualization and reporting tools.
On the other hand, when CRM data has been loaded into custom data tables, it is easily accessed from Studio reporting via CDL. One advantage of custom data tables is that they can import larger text data, whereas the respondent table currently only allows text fields of up to 255 characters.
The interactive mode of CRM Connector for MS Dynamics requires two user logins:
Microsoft Dynamics login
Forsta Plus Professional Authoring login
Important
When the data transfer job has been established in the CRM Connector interactive move, and subsequently runs in the recurring background mode, it will run under a special application user named "Forsta Plus CRM Connector App User". The security permissions and privileges of that user are managed inside Microsoft Dynamics by the Role: "Forsta Plus CRM Connector App User". The role and user are set up automatically the first time someone uses the wizard. However, it is important that the MS Dynamics admin ensures this Role has the read and write permissions for the entities and fields in the CRM, otherwise CRM Connector will not work in the background mode.
Important
Access to your MS Dynamics data is governed by MS Dynamics' Acceptable Usage Policies (AUP). To maintain optimum performance and ensure that the MS Dynamics API is available to all MS Dynamics customers, MS Dynamics imposes daily API usage limits. It is your responsibility to ensure that you do not exceed your MS Dynamics API usage limits. If you exceed the limits, it could temporarily disable CRM Connector as well as your other MS Dynamics integrations.
