Note: The CRM Connector for Salesforce is a company add-on and is subject to payment. If your company has not licensed the add-on then the CRM Connector for Salesforce link will not be visible on your home page.
Only Chrome and Firefox browsers are currently supported.
CRM Connector for Salesforce enables you to setup and manage recurring jobs to export data from Forsta Plus to Salesforce through an easy-to-use wizard. You can choose whether to export completed survey response data or respondent table data. When exporting survey response data, you could for example export NPS score ratings or verbatim text responses into Salesforce. When exporting respondent table data, you could export e-mail delivery status information from survey invitations or export unique respondent-specific survey links. Subsequent Salesforce configuration can make the survey data visible to Salesforce users, or trigger actions to follow-up on interesting survey responses.
This feature is accessible in two versions with nearly identical functionality:
Standalone (Forsta Plus) version - this version is accessed via your Forsta Plus platform. This version can be more convenient if you want to switch between multiple Salesforce environments (for example multiple sandboxes and production environments).
Salesforce AppExchange version - this version has identical capabilities to the standalone version, but it is accessible from inside Salesforce and distributed via a Salesforce AppExchange App (managed package). This package is an iframe around the standalone version. In this version you cannot switch between Salesforce environments.
Both versions of this feature require two user logins:
Forsta Plus Professional Authoring login.
Salesforce Administrative login.
Note: To use this feature in the interactive mode to setup jobs and create fields and objects in Salesforce, you must have Administrator access privileges for the Salesforce environment. Your Salesforce login must also have the specific Salesforce permissions to: ‘modify all data’, ‘customize application’, and ‘manage profiles and permission sets’.
Once you have setup the CRM Connector job and it is running in the batch mode you can remove the three Salesforce user privileges and use a less-privileged user, however you will still need to temporarily re-enable them to modify the job in interactive mode.
The Forsta Plus API user included in the CRM Connector for Salesforce package is only for use with the Flex import flow, and not this work flow. The API user cannot be used with this workflow: you must have a normal Forsta Plus Professional Authoring user.
Important
Access to your Salesforce data is governed by Salesforce's Acceptable Usage Policies (AUP). To maintain optimum performance and ensure that the Salesforce API is available to all Salesforce customers, Salesforce imposes daily API usage limits. It is your responsibility to ensure that you do not exceed your Salesforce API usage limits. If you exceed the limits, it could temporarily disable CRM Connector as well as your other Salesforce integrations.
